Carl Hayes

Carl Hayes serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Invenci, a fast growing innovator in developing bespoke artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for the enterprise. A seasoned technology executive, Mr. Hayes brings almost two decades of leadership experience across cybersecurity, AI, and digital transformation.
At Invenci, Carl leads the company’s strategic vision to deliver safe, secure, human centered AI that enhances operational efficiency and unlocks measurable return on investment (ROI) for organizations across industry sectors. Under his leadership, Invenci has expanded its portfolio of generative AI and machine learning solutions, strengthened its position in the Canadian technology ecosystem, and accelerated partnerships that help enterprises adopt AI with confidence and clarity. His focus on ethical innovation, transparency, and measurable business outcomes has become a defining element of Invenci’s culture and market reputation.

Before joining Invenci, Mr. Hayes served as a Partner and Chief Revenue Officer at Stratejm (now Bell Cyber), where he played a pivotal role in scaling one of Canada’s first cloud native Security as a Service (SaaS) platforms. He led national go to market strategy, enterprise sales, and customer success, driving significant revenue growth and helping position the company for its acquisition by Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE) in July 2024. His work contributed to establishing Stratejm as a trusted leader in cybersecurity modernization for large public and private sector organizations.

Mr. Hayes is recognized for his ability to bridge technical depth with business strategy, guiding organizations through digital transformation with a pragmatic, outcomes driven approach. He is a frequent contributor to discussions on AI adoption, cybersecurity resilience, and the future of intelligent automation.

Daniel Pizon

Daniel Pizon, operating as the COO of Invenci, is a seasoned technology executive with over 15 years of professional experience building, operating, and scaling organizations that deliver digital, data science, IT implementation, and cybersecurity services to mid- and large-enterprise clients. Concurrently, he is the President of CrossLeaf Web Engineering, where he leads enterprise application development initiatives across complex public, regulated, and private-sector environments. Mr. Pizon previously served as President of Canary Trap, a cybersecurity firm, and now acts as its Board Chair, providing strategic and governance oversight. His extensive background operating IT companies and experience working with financial institutions and retail sectors, combined with a strong track record of driving high-performing teams, positions him to bring deep value in developing and commercialize intellectual property for Invenci.

Harald Ujc

Harald Ujc is a founding partner and Chief Technology Officer at Invenci, where he leads the delivery of enterprise-grade generative AI, intelligent automation, and AI governance solutions. With over two decades of experience in IT leadership, software engineering and applied artificial intelligence, he specializes in transforming emerging technologies into secure, scalable systems that drive measurable business value. Harald holds a degree in Physics from the University of Toronto and has been a student mentor in the university’s Computer Science department. Based in Toronto, he is a frequent speaker on AI discovery, risk management, and practical enterprise adoption, helping organizations bridge the gap between experimentation and real-world AI impact.

Shawn Marriott

Shawn Marriott is a senior technology and cybersecurity executive with deep experience spanning product leadership, critical-infrastructure organizations, and financial services. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and completed a graduate program in Data Science from Harvard University. Mr. Marriott has led product management functions at leading cybersecurity companies including Tanium, Lacework, and SentinelOne, where he worked on enterprise-scale security platforms addressing complex threat and compliance environments. Earlier in his career, he developed domain expertise in the electricity sector through his work with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), and in Canadian financial services through roles at Meridian Credit Union. In addition to his professional work, Mr. Marriott is an active ethical hacker who participates in bug bounty programs and has received awards from organizations including Facebook and United Airlines, reflecting his hands-on expertise and continued engagement with real-world security challenges.

Max Cananzi is a seasoned Canadian energy‑sector executive best known for his tenure as President of Alectra Utilities Corporation, one of North America’s largest municipally owned electricity distributors. Before Alectra, Mr. Cananzi served as President & CEO of Horizon Utilities Corporation, Horizon Holdings Inc., and Horizon Energy Solutions Inc., leading significant modernization and growth initiatives. He presently serves as the Chairman of the OMERS Sponsors Corporation, providing governance oversight for one of Canada’s largest pension plans. He also serves on the board of GrandBridge Energy. Robert Wong

Robert Wong is a veteran Canadian utilities and cybersecurity executive who retired as Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Risk Officer at Toronto Hydro, where he spent nearly 27 years leading major transformations in IT, operational technology, enterprise risk, and corporate governance. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), to which he was appointed in 2022. Mr. Wong also chaired the Broader Public Sector Cybersecurity Expert Panel, advising the Ontario government on sector wide cyber resilience. He holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, along with a Chartered Director designation.
